In what country does one get arrested in their own home because their "tone" seems "peculiar"? |
|
ONLY IN AMERICA AND DICTATORSHIPS!Crowley: It was Gates' tone of voice http://www.mercurynews.com/nationworld/ci_12902510 "Not just what he said, but the tone in which he said it, just seemed very peculiar" snip " his tone was troubling."

"uppity n----r" to himself. "Negro" is probably not a word that has ever existed in his pea brain.

7. this guy has changed his story so many times... |
|
there were two police reports. My guess, is he knew he fuck-up but his arrogance kept him from doing the right thing to BEGIN WITH! The minute he realized that Gates DID INDEED live there, he should have apologized for the inconvience and left! Period. If he would have apologized immediately for the "misunderstanding" rather than continue to prune his ego, this would have never escalated to the point it has. Anyone would understandly be upset with the initial confusion, but the officer had the ability to calm the waters. He didn't.

|
Edited on Thu Jul-23-09 10:46 PM by Thrill
This just proves Obama right. Not only are Black Men not given the Benefit of Doubt. But now they have to watch the tone of their voice? Next thing we'll hear is that he looked the Police Officer in the eye. And you know we can't have that shit.

17. I suspect I would have been far more irate in the same situation. I would have said produce a search |
|
warrant or leave, or if you don't, you'll have a massive lawsuit on your hands. I also would have called 9-1-1 to report a trespasser in my home if they did not immediately leave.

21. Yet in many episodes of COPS I've seen, quite a few white trash people bad mouth the police |
|
and they don't often get hauled off unless they make a threatening move towards the officer, another person, or try to run away.
Interesting.....

I don't know all the facts, but I am inclined to suspect he wouldn't have retaliated against a white man the same way.

BTW in Thailand it is illegal for police to use a search warrant when the sun is not up.
That means if it is dark out and someone knocks on your door and says they are police you don't have to answer the door.

37. If you think stuff like this only happens in America and dictatorships, I suggest you dust off your |
|
passport and get out and explore the world a bit.
It's my understanding that young male racial minorities in the Paris suburbs suffer quite a bit of racial profiling and police brutality themselves.
And that's just one example.
