55% is down from previous period pollings, and based on the Gates incident being pumped by the press as Obama calling all law enforcement stupid, as well as they, the media, heralding Obama's failure on healthcare, isn't that satisfying enough for those who like what they see?

http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx

and everyone relishing this poll drop needs to understand what DeMint reminds us of; that this president's perceive failure, will be our failure too; our failure to get any health care reform for those we profess to care so much about, the underclass. This in fact a life and death, and not a trivial matter.

Just want to make it known to those enjoying this time period that "I told you so" ain't gonna get close to providing comfort to those who need it the most.

3. And the Gallup poll has many fluctuations in it. The Rasmussen poll is puke worthy
and not reality. The way they show the results is strange too.

14. Rasmussen Is UTTER CRAP! Proof Inside!!!
http://thehill.com/mark-mellman/voters-settle-on-a-public-plan-2009-07-21.html

--snip--

In fact, only one poll asking a straight favor/oppose question has recorded majority opposition — but generating that opposition required Rasmussen to misstate the facts. They asked about creating “a government health insurance company to compete with private insurance companies.” The only surprise is that just 50 percent thought a government-run health corporation was a bad idea. Of course, no legislation under consideration in the House or the Senate even contemplates creation of a “government health insurance company.” So if some day someone were to actually propose such an animal, Rasmussen can responsibly say the public is opposed — until then their poll is meaningless.

--snip--

'Nuff said.

17. They were already here.
It's fun to assume that these are trollers, but I suspect that many/most are simply honest people who happened to sample the wrong news sources. They may think they're sounding an alarm, though, concerning either a real trend or a real right-wing conspiracy.

Personally, I'd prefer never to see posts about single polls, especially Rasmussen's. To catch my interest, posters should compare and contrast different sources.

19. Rasmussen samples "likely voters"
Whereas Gallup goes for broader American sentiment.

And I agree. The faster the President's numbers go down, the more remote health care reform becomes, the more likely we all lose and suffer more years under the status quo.

20. Rasmussen also weights it's samples.
And it's weighting model is very questionable, to say the least.

Remember, this is a company who gained it's reputation for being the most accurate in predicting the 2004 election outcome. an outcome that we know now was flawed and rife with irregularities. This should raise some questions in itself.
