I think Obama should apologize. |
|
For making me, a white man, uncomfortable with his blackness.
This whole ordeal could have been avoided had the blackman not opined on a matter he clearly should have known would make us white folks uncomfortable.
For shame, Mr. Obama.

6. Doesn't the black man know he cannot answer a question posed to him BECAUSE he's a black man? |

10. I don't think Obama should apologize. I think he should just stop making political mistakes |
|
He could easily weigh in on this issue in a way that doesn't derail his health care agenda. You ask anyone in the administration, INCLUDING obama if this week's news cycle has gone the way they want and they will all say "uh, hell no" - and in fact they HAVE said that.
He could have planned something that would have kept the stories separate rather than have them step on each other - could have issued a separate statement, or had comments in another context. Instead he spoke off the cuff taking an obviously bait question and derailed his entire health care news conference. He knows it. The administration knows it. We know it.
It's not about whether he has a right to speak on this OR whether or not he's right that the police acted stupidyly (he does have that right and they did act stupidly) - it's about whether or not it was a political blunder to be handled in the WAY that it was, and that answer is an obvious yes to anyone with any political experience (and the white house agrees.)

11. I beg your pardon, but it was not a political mistake. |
|
I'm glad it happened. And like every other so- called fuck up he's committed, this will wind up having a beneficial ending.
