StupidGate Meme dominates headlines; articles about health care at the bottom |
|
I was appalled the night the President gave a prime time press conference on health care, that CNN and MSNBC had headlines about Gates' and the stupidity.
Then, yesterday, NBC Nightly News LEAD with the Gates story...and only mentioned health care briefly. Now, mid-week, we are still hearing about STUPIDGATE, and I have not seen nor read even a single substantive explanation of Obama's health care proposal from a major news outlet.
Obama should say, "look, I made a stupid-off hand remark during my press conference ABOUT HEALTH CARE." Somehow, the national dialog needs to be directed to the health care proposal - even if the news media portrays it negatively - it would be better than NOT TALKING about it at all other than brief mention.

The work that needs to get done is getting done w/ out the lies and misinformation being sprayed all over the place.
