Crowley, Gates and Obama in the oval office drinking a beer...
At first it brought to mind that scene from The Shawshank Redemption. You know, up on top of the roof where Robbins, Freeman and Clancy Brown share a beer after re-taring the roof...

As Jon Stewart would say "Uncomfortable".

But I think if anyone could make that a comfortable situation it would be President Obama.

Call me a crazy optimist.

I think this will turn out good.

1. Can anyone say "awkward"?
Obama knows how to defuse a bad situation though. }(

2. No beer in the Oval Office. Ewwww. No EATING in the Oval Office.
There are a variety of venues, great and small, within the WH that are appropriate to having a beer. The OO is not one of them.

6. Even Nixon used to eat his cottage cheese and catsup in the side office off the Oval. NT

9. He's got balls...
Not affraid to admit he was wrong and willing to do something to rectify the situation...

After Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II, people got use to our leaders deflecting blame, acting like children and outright lying...

11. The President Took Control of This Story Without Ever Conceding the Point.
"There are some who say that as President I shouldn't have stepped into this at all because it's a local issue. I have to tell you that that part of it I disagree with. The fact that this has become such a big issue I think is indicative of the fact that race is still a troubling aspect of our society. Whether I were black or white, I think that me commenting on this and hopefully contributing to constructive -- as opposed to negative -- understandings about the issue, is part of my portfolio."

And then he makes a "get off my lawn" joke at the end...

The President has some mad skillz...
