It wasn’t her fault. It was the fault of the policeman who couldn’t understand a black man standing up for his rights right in his space. And that’s what I did. And I would do the same thing exactly again.

I really wouldn't want a nosy neighbor to "mind their own fucking business." Got it? As a Realtor, I'm in foreclosed, vacant houses all the time. I've run into my share of situations where neighbors called the city or police because they saw someone walking around in a vacant house. I'm glad they do it. I've never had a problem. 'Course I don't yell at the cop when he/she shows up. This all could have been avoided if Mr. Gates hadn't been cranky with the cop. When a cop asks you to come out onto the porch, just, fucking, do it. Been there. I was siding with Gates until more info started to come out.
