to the "birfer circus" -
Why doesn't someone post the hospital records of the live birth? There are records for the mom and the baby during the delivery.
When I wanted more information that was listed on my birth certificate from GA, I ordered a copy of the hospital records. For my adopted son, in order to find out more about the circumstances surrounding his birth - I obtained a copy of his medical records - including that of the delivery room.
I mean, HI state law may not allow release of but O can get a copy of the delivery records - surely THAT should be enough to end the discussion (for all at least remotely sane people, that is.)

7. What the state of Hawaii deems sufficient, should be suficient |
|
And the state deemed that actual hospital/delivery records are not necessary as part of the permanent offical record.
Not for Obama, not for any other Hawaiian born then, before, and since.
If the State of Hawaii does not deem these records necessary to prove somebody's live birth in the state, why should anybody else?

just like the birth certificate -
but they seem to find excuses for rejecting everything.
It would be kind of hard to dismisss the records surround what happened IN the damn delivery room, though, wouldn't it???

5. I would venture to guess that "remotely sane people" who have already seen the mountain |
|
of evidence that yes, Obama is indeed a natural born American citizen, don't buy into the birther crap anyway.
There has to be at least one freeper/birther who was born in Hawaii. All they'd have to do to prove their nutty claim is to request and receive a "LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE" -- but they haven't done that because -- YOU KNOW WHAT? -- no such thing exists in the state of Hawaii.

and it would be more than enough to satisfy most rational people; however, the birfers are definitely NOT rational. They want to believe this nonsense, and no amount of proof will satisfy them.
Hell, they could have been in the delivery room when he was born, and they'd swear he was some sort of time traveler or that they'd been hypotized or abducted by aliens.

9. Why should anybody dignify the birthers nonsense with a response? |
|
Obama doesn't have to prove anything to those freaks.

11. I don't think this President should respond to a demand which implies he needs a greater level of .. |

proof of citizenship than the prior 43.
That being said, there's a good chance that the hospital records no longer exist since in the 1960's, they would have been completely on paper. NYS requires that hospital medical records only be maintained for 6 years after discharge or treatment, except in the case of minors. Obstetrics records are held for 21 years. I assume Hawaii has similar requirements. 45+ years have passed since the President was born. If the hospital actually still has the records, it is very possible that they would now be on microfilm. (Hospital paper records quickly consume a great deal of space and create all sorts of logistical issues.) I assume that a lack of the original paper copy would automatically cause these morons to reject them. There's also a good chance that whomever attended his delivery is now deceased. Even if they were still alive, there's no reason to assume that they would specifically recall the event. Catering to these dopes would just lead to another round of stupidity.
