Is the American populace and media stuck on stupid when it comes to the President?
Edited on Fri Jul-24-09 05:59 PM by Peacetrain
From Day One President Obama, has had to deal with media or others, picking one part of a paragraph out of a speech, debate, interview, and recasting it as something else, and then demanding the the President address what he did "NOT" say.

Quick case is point, the President did "NOT" call the police stupid, but the action they took. It was a stupid act. But it has been 24/7 the President called the police stupid.

Can any of us forget the bitter voters clinging to guns and God. When it was an explanation of just the opposite of trying to explain to others why people embrace certain things because they feel marginalized.

Can no one read more than three paragraphs anyone. Is this what texting and short hand media of email has done to us?

And it goes on and on and on and on.

~sigh~.. wears a person out!

2. to me it is like watch a slow attempt at lynching
Pretty much everyone knew that the M$M was all set up to do everything it could to destroy Obama. I had hopes that maybe there would be some sense of decency kick in when they realized he is an incredibly smart and decent person with a lovely family.
However the M$M is set on 'destroy democrats' and shall not waver.
I am allost looking forward to next year to vote their favorites out yet again.

3. "Bitter" another mis-calibrated word.
President Obama also said, it is part of his job. To bring attention to racial profiling. But I think Obama wanted to help Sgt. Crowley with the media on his lawn, and said it's unfortunate the response over this from the media.

6. Yes!

It was very clear that he never characterized the Cambridge Police or the individual officer as 'stupid', but no one bothered paying attention to what he said, then the Police Union jerk (Killion) jumped on and proclaimed that he was 'disgraced' that the President was CiC.

We may not ever know, but I have a strong feeling that he wouldn't have unleashed on Bush that way.

Some of these fools really don't deserve the help he's trying to give this country. The idiot Birthers and some of their rabid RW counterparts would rather have an incompetent, C-average, word-mangling, arrogant white president than a smart, thoughtful black one. Too bad their wish can't be granted.

8. Yes...the Cops and Firemen (who live off taxes) will put Obama down.
Ya.. Ya.. Ya.... I dont need to hear how we need firefighters and cops.. fer chris sakes.....

All I can say.. I do not depend on my local Police Department for Anything, and I do not depend on my local FIre department for anything.

I have a CCW permit and I do not go into areas where I would need to use it. I have a fire sprinkler system, and I observe all fire safety codes.

SO.. why do I need to hear how these "heros" for the Insurance Company are going to save me? They dont give a shit if I live or die?

I just received a letter today that says that our County EMS will respond to calls , but that the home owners will be billed for the service. Huh? WTF? (I thought that was already billed in my property TRIM notice?) No sir, I'm sorry, the standard coverage you used to have is now EXTRA.

I give up.. up is down, left is right, and right is always wrong.

15. The populace can no more re-regulate the media than it can reform Wall Street
or health care.

On the other hand- with the power of the administrative agencies- there's a LOT that the Obama administration can do.
