Republicans are to healthcare as Quakers are to warfare
You're not gonna get a "bi-partisan" declaration of war with the Quakers signing on anymore than you're going to get any real healthcare reform with the Republicans signing on.

Can we give up this fairy tale of "bi-partisanship"? We're going to get a diluted, crappy, designed to fail, ineffective failure of a bill that the Republicans aren't going to vote for anyway and the Dems will carry all the blame - as they should.

8. Quaker Nixon was the guy who gave us Earth Day and the EPA
Prescott Bush protege Nixon was the warmonger. The conflict between the two is what made him a drunken paranoid lunatic.

4. Only difference is the Quakers cannot stop the repugs from getting us mired in wars
while the repugs with the help of the DINOS (Blue Dogs) can seemingly stop real healthcare reform in its tracks.

10. Insurance Company Gestapo's
As it is now, it's the insurance companies that "stand between you and your doctor" One must go through ones insurance company to get ANYTHING OKed for the cost, before any doctor or hospital will perform the necessary procedures.

And that privilege of having an insurance company employee making the bureaucratic decision, rather than the inept heartless government official should justify the higher cost of their far superior plan...right?

The insurance companies employees making decisions on what surgeries, medical care, procedure & prescriptions one can talk about getting between you and your doctor...The insurance companies are like the Gestapo.
