The Today Show hits a new low.
Matt Lauer continues enabling RW talking points. A long report on the Gates arrest ended with clips of Glen Beck spouting his lunatic opinion of the President hating white people. Then with not a raised eyebrow or critical comment, the souffle of a newsreader that is Lauer introduced his next guest, Michelle Malkin. Those of us who watched Matt turn into an attack dog against Kitty Kelly when she had the temerity of writing a factual, but unvarnished account of the Bush dynasty, might have been surprised by the lap dog performance today. He sat there and let Malkin spew her vile lies with not so much as a sigh.
It is clear that GE's trained poodles Lauer and Gregory are under orders to do everything they can to undermine Obama. Today, Today was exhibit 1.

1. When Lauer came to Harvard to speak at graduation commencements this year....
I did not clap at his lame ass speech because we deserved way better.
I was totally disappointed that they even chose him. What a let down that was!

23. Maybe Harvard will score someone from Entertainment Tonite next year.
Lauer is such a lame speaker to have at a prestigious college graduation. I am disappointed once again in Harvard.

11. I don't get it....
Chuck Todd of NBC called out Glenn Beck and said he was NOT a journalist and said
"What's most amazing about this episode is that what Beck said isn't a fireable or even a SUSPENDABLE offense by his bosses. There was a time when outrageous rants like this would actually cost the ranters their jobs. But not anymore; if anything, it's now encouraged. And all of this could turn ACTUAL journalists into the next Howard Beales. It's getting nuts that the folks who are creating the perception of an ideological/polarized media world are people who have never really spent their lives being journalists. Whether it's former political consultants-turned-TV execs or former radio DJs, or former California socialites, the folks helping to accelerate the public's perception of the media off a cliff made their livings trying to do other things. Of course, Beck's crazy language could have one unintended consequence: It could cost him bookings with any Republicans who want to be popular outside Beck's hard-core bizarro-land viewers."

yet at HIS OWN NETWORK, THEY HAVE THAT MALKIN B_TCH ON! who the f_ck is she and what are her creditials?

12.  I think there is a split at NBC.
Lauer, Scarborough and Gregory have eagerly bought into the GE corporate philosophy which rewards pushing GOP talking points with prestige shows and fabulous salaries. MSNBC seems to have adopted a more Liberal point of view with Keith, Rachel and Ed. Todd and Mathews seem to flit back and forth between the factions without having a safe haven in either.

But we were really angry this morning when we saw that nasty face of lauer was interviewing AFTER hearing the nasty beck!

15.  I emailed NBC today.
I let them know that after 50+ years of having breakfast while having Today on, I am switching to CBS. It wasn't just this incident. The show has become such a mishmash of soft news and scripted hi jinks as to lose most of its value as an information source. And I have to admit, I can't look at Lauer again without seeing him sit idly by as Malkin ranted her patented dose of hate, lies and stupidity.

13. I know, could not believe it
Yesterday, they were still talking about Michael Jackson and today it was Malkin. Seems that, at least the past two days, Diane Sawyer was the best, at least in the first hour.

I turned it on this a.m. while making coffee and it was Michael Jackson blah blah . . . switched to Sawyer and she was dealing with swine flu and it's threat to pregnant women. No comparison. Switched back to Today when Dianne switched to MJ and there was Michelle fucking Malkin!!!!!! WTF? Are they having World Nut Daily next?
