Short blonde hair, two chins, and a propensity to totally fly off the handle hysterically.

Now he's a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy.

Strange, and scary.

1. So are you saying that you helped to create (vicariously)
this professional "abused white" miscreant slug?

3. You're telling me if you couldn't go back in time, you wouldn't pick on Baby Beck?
I would.

5. My post was tongue in cheek, but
since you ask, assuming that he was at one time a kid who had not developed his tendencies toward general mistrust, racism, and a multitude of attitudes which are anti-everything that is necessary for the maintenance of a civil society (not to mention democracy), and that they were developed as a dysfunctional response to such treatment and/or abuse, then no, I wouldn't.

8. I can only assume Beck was a dick child.
But I don't know.

I picked on kids, but only kids who were dicks.

Ok, that's a lie, I did pick on some kids -- but I think that's normal. We all did it. Not proud of it, but hey, that's just a part of childhood, unfortuantely.

Well, at least you think bullying is "unfortunate."

6. This story echoes my suspicions concerning the right-wing crazies.
Until crazy stops paying so well, we'll never know for sure which of them might actually be mentally ill.

14. On the planes of Glenn Beckistan ... Oh give me a home, where the psychopaths roam ...
A psycopath is actually mentally ill

The fact that he (or they) are just after the paycheck is crazy in and of itself

The article on Beck sounds eerily psychopathic . . .

BTW

Isn't it interesting (i.e., instructive) that the Rebublicans spent so much time and energy railing against the fact that Obama was looking for empathy in a supreme court candidate ... while they were looking for the lack of it? ... empathy being the main thing that makes us human.?

11. Admitting you are a bully is a big step for you
now maybe you can apologize and knock it the hell off!

15. I didn't "bully" him. I grew up with him. He lived on my cul de sac and was three years younger
We played street football together. We played stickball (baseball) together. We played hide and seek together. We played with toy soldiers in the dirt together. He (Robbie) went camping with my family, and fishing with me and my Grandpa, who lived on the same cul de sac. My mom made a special package for him and his little brother on Halloween, as his parents did for me and my sister. When I say "picked on", I meant that I was one of the the older kids. I meant that I was one of about TEN older kids who lived on our block, and we, as the "older" kids, took our place, rightly or wrongly, in the heirarchy of kids who grow up together.

I'm no bully. I've been in three "fights" in my life, and in the first I got the shit beat out of me so bad that I wound up in the emergency room getting stitches in my upper lip, the scar I still bear to this very day. Robbie helped me that day by kicking the ass of the kid who lived on the NEXT cul de sac.

I never apologized to Robbie because it wasn't necessary. To this very day, when we cross paths, it's smiles all around, handshakes followed by sincere hugs, and "remember whens". He grew up to be the quarterback on my high schoool football team after I graduated. He pitched on my high school baseball team after I graduated. He did those things in no small part because he grew up with me and the other kids who lived on our cul de sac.

None of those things change the fact that he was a chubby tow-head who carries his baby fat to this day and works for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
