Enzi making sure Senate Finance Committee does not vote a bill out of committee. |

CNN just reported on Senator Enzi saying it won't happen before their August break, altho Grassley has said they are 95% there. Enzi has said he just have a guarantee what they do in Finance will be part of the final bill.
Have read elsewhere the Senate Finance Republicans are under tremendous pressure from fellow Republicans to delay a deal. Dana Bash just reported as much on CNN.
Republicans hope delay will kill health care reform. We must help Obama and the Democrats to prove otherwise. They need to acknowledge how touch real healthcare reform will be, and who is standing in the way--the healthcare industry and their lobbyists.

2. Because that bill - when it comes out - will be marked up |

along with the HELP bill by a combined committee.
What that means is that the small group of liberals on the Finance committee can join with their natural allies on the HELP committee. When looked at together, the liberals in the joint committee are not the minority they are in Finance.
A bill with a public option can result.
A second place the public option can be added is when it is reconciled with teh House.
