1. But we knew that from day one of his appointment.
Day one.

3. Many knew he was the wrong choice before day one too
There was thread after thread here about how bad a choice he was.

It looks like all those posters that expressed that opinion are being proved right.

13. Ah! yes we did...we had many discussions here about RE and how
he was pushing the blue dogs over and fighting Dean for trying to get progressives in ...and I wonder why Obama did this...

4. rahm was part of the deal to keep the clintonites from going to all-out war at the dem convention.
wonder if it was worth it.

maybe obama should have battled it out with clinton at the convention to keep the dlc out of the white house. maybe an embattled party would've gotten over it enough to still defeat mccain in november.

we'll never know.

7. So it has nothing to do with the fact
Rahm and the President are good friends. The most powerful man in the world was FORCED to hire him (according to you).

11. Do you really believe that?
According to your theory, Hillary Clinton agreed to not make waves at the convention because there was some kind of quid pro quo that Rahm would be made Chief of Staff.

If that's the case, then you believe that President Obama is a puppet. That people threaten him and he does as they say?

Sorry, but that is laughable. People need to get a grip.

8. When his pick was announced --
my stomach literally sunk. That man is pratically solely responsible for the mad rush to gourge at the corporate trough by Dems. And responsible for the purpling of the party. :(

9. I'd posted that opinion when Rahm was appointed
I knew it would turn out this way. Rahm Emmanuel's ego has gotten in Obama's way.

10. Damn Rahm for "appointing" those Blue Dogs to their House seats!
What ridiculous statement Rahn didn't elect them, the voters from CONSERATIVE states did. You're sounding as lame as Maxine Waters.

12. Funny how some don't see the disconnect
Blame Rahm for the Blue Dog's behavior- he recruited them.

Obama hires Rahm- Obama off the hook.

16. Gonna go with this.
Rahm's done a good job as CoS, his recruitment for the DCCC notwithstanding.

I'm pretty sure the candidates he recruited didn't say "I'm gonna FUCK over a Democratic President if I gits into the House!"

18. Emanuel got Democrats elected where it was impossible.
Our party is made up of varying views. COnservative, moderate, liberals and radicals of all ilk.

It is up to all sides to contribute to put together a great program that will certainly be tuned up over the years as needs and values change.
