Majority of Americans either agreed with Obama or had no opinion on the Gates Incident....
Per info in the Pew Poll....

Of those Americans surveyed last week through Sunday, 59% either agreed with President Obama or had no opinion on the Gates incident one way of the other. 41% disapproved of Obama statement that the police "acted Stupidly".

It should be noted that due to mediawhore breathless biased saturation of the incident, and media beltway pundits weighing against President Obama on most 24/7 channels, 80% of Americans polled knew about the incident.

The poll was conducted Wednesday to Sunday last week. Among those interviewed on Wednesday and Thursday, 53 percent of whites approved of Obama's job performance.

Same poll showed Obama's overall job approval in the poll was 54 percent.

Pew re-contacted 480 of the poll respondents on Monday, July 27, to ask them more questions about the Gates matter. They found that people are divided as to who should be blamed for the Gates arrest: 27 percent blame Gates and 25 percent Crowley. Another 13 percent of respondents say both or neither are at fault.

but of course, the headline to read via Yahoo, from that proven biased piece of shit of a wire service, the AP, the headline reads....Poll: Obama mishandled comments on race

All I've got to say is we are being hoodwinked by this fucked up right wing biased media 24/7 day in, day out.

3. They are spending just about every hour and every show possible
to bash the President. They make everything sound horrible and basically report that the entire country is pissed of with the President. They definitely have their marching orders.

4. 41 disapprove to 29 approve

I think they're fair.

More fair than your adding the no opinions with the approves, imo.

6. I guess it depends on how one chooses to Twist it.
They twisted it your way, so you should be overjoyed.

I wrote it the way that I saw it, and Thank God that I get a say, regardless
that an AP article gets at least 20 million more pairs of eyes reading it,
and the few I get reading me.

but did you, if I may ask, have anything more that you wanted to add?

7. if I wanted to twist it to make Obama look bad
I would have used your trick and added the disapproves with the no opinion and said "71% disapprove or have no opinion!"

Maybe the Freepers are doing that right now.

5. I agree with his revised statement...
And didn't care much for the first. I wonder which rendition of that tune the poll refers to.

9. Why would you expect any better from the media?
But there was some good news today: CNBCs ratings have declined almost 30%. I'm sure the rest of the media is suffering loss of readership/viewership, too.
