Can we start placing some focus on some of the BS timeframes that are being tossed around for reform
I would like to see pressure on both the President and the Congress about why we are being told that no public option will even be available until 2013 and that in the current House bill rescission (cancellation) of policies is still allowed until 2011 and ban on prior condition exclusions doesn't happen until 2013.

These timeframes are simply unacceptable and I am seeing little or no discussion around these points.

1. I'm pretty surprised that no one seems to think this is a major issue.
I think it is one of the MOST major issues.

2. Nobody brings it up because taxes are collected for almost 2 years
before the whole program goes into effect. If that changed the numbers would not have a chance at adding up.

3. Ok. I just wanted to know what to tell the familes of those who die in the interim.
I'm sure they'll be fine with this.

4. Nobody asked how they were going to pay
for bush's war. Nobody wondered how we were going to pay for tax cuts for the rich. Nobody questioned how we can keep subsidizing corporations. Some questioned how we were going to pay for the bail outs, but before they had the answer, they put it into effect immediately.

This won't change until people stop being stupid about who they vote for and who they get their news from.

Our problem is that we live amid a bunch of people who deserve the government they have.

5. I know. I wonder why that point keeps being missed.
We can afford war everlasting without a blink of an eye, but any dollars consigned towards the actual "general welfare" is wept over bitterly by the Congress.
