What is the difference between the Health Insurance Industry and the Mafia? |
|
Not a damn thing.
Both sit on a pile of money. Both offer their protection as long as you pay up, monthly. Both profit off of misery and pain. Both will cut you loose the instant you seem unprofitable.
Why is the Insurance Industry thriving nationwide rather than being run out of town like the extortionists that they are? Unlike the Mafia, they can make seemingly unlimited, legal, political contributions.

Our Government sits on a pile of money. But they do not have to make a profit. This would result in lower monthly payments (no executive bonuses to pay), protection for nearly everyone, and no possibility for cancellation of your policy.
Healthcare shouldn't be based on profit. It is not some extravagant privilege. It is a necessity and should be a legally guaranteed right.
Why anyone but the Insurance Mafia would oppose this is beyond me.

Rather than getting rid of it, we are going to make it the law that everyone has to pay up.

5. we don't get coverage unless we pay whatever they demand |
|
no matter if that amount is grossly inflated.
no matter if many times they refuse to pay for treatment they deem unnecessary.
and sometimes you might have paid premiums for years only to suddenly be deemed uninsurable.
It is extortion because people have to have healthcare, and currently the Insurance Mafia is the only option.
They can do whatever they want, and we have to deal with it and keep paying.
