When Obama golfs on vacation, are 17 other groups eliminated? In other words... |

1. That alone would almost make the rest of the bullshit of the job worth it |

No more standing idly by in the fairway while you wait for the 30 handicapper to take 10 minutes lining up his third putt on the green u ahead.
No more standing on the tee box spinning your driver around while the foursome in front of you spends fifteen minutes poking around in the rough for someone's lost ball.
You might actually be able to finish a round under five hours.
Or you could take all the mulligans and do overs you wanted.

3. I always thought of the waiting as part of the sport. |

Kind of like in baseball, chess, and other thinking games and sports, where most of the time, nothing is actually happening... the pausing, the patience, the planning and discipline are part of the challenge.
Nobody ever talks about Tiger Woods beating the speed of his last round.

2. If a private country club hosts a golf tournment.... |

regular play is suspended for the members. I don't know what the deal is on the course Barack is playing, but closing a golf course to members for a special event is not uncommon.
