Obama brings the heat ....... calls in Elmo.
Edited on Tue Sep-01-09 08:12 AM by Clio the Leo
Obama administration flu preparedness efforts got a boost Tuesday from a partnership with Elmo and the Sesame Workshop, the Department of Health and Human Services announced in a press release. The legendary puppet and children's show are working with HHS and the Departments of Homeland Security and Education to promote www.flu.gov in public service announcements.
HHS Secretary Sebelius said in a statement: "We are thrilled to partner with Elmo, Gordon, and Sesame Workshop again to emphasize the steps kids and their parents can take to stay happy and healthy this school year...Younger children and their parents are some of the people most at risk from the new H1N1 flu virus and with schools starting back up again and the weather starting to get colder, we need to do everything we can to get these important messages about how to prevent the spread of the flu out there."

Of course Elmo was an early supporter of the Obamas .... friendship goes all the way back to the early spring.

Is it just me, or does that tomato look scared to you? ..... well, who can blame it I guess.

I get happy -- whoever is responsible for selecting the projects gets an A in my book.

She brings a 21st Century magic to each important issue.

She supports her husband's issues in a magical way -- what a staff she must have -- I would love to work with them.
