1. "If Obama or Democrats in general want activists......
....who by definition are hardcore people who actually believe in liberalism to show up and fight for them, they need to offer liberalism, not warmed over centrist pap."

2. Liberals are far from passive
If they wanted activists to come out then Obama should at the least have drawn the line in the sand on a fully funded public option. I'm not wasting my time and energy fighting for an unknown cause full of giveaways to people who only want to destroy our country. Let the 'centrists' do that for him.

5. My disillusion with Democrats started during the elections...
Unfortunately, I think my earlier photoshop is closer to the truth now than I'd have like it to be!

16. So far Obama
even thought I worked to get him elected (I would have preferred Dennis Kucinich) is bearing out my gut reaction that Corporate America knew the Repukes were weak and offered us a "glamorous" candidate. Either that or Obama doesn't want to get assassinated. So far, he is not a profile in courage, re health care , CIA, Bu$hCo, etc. I hope I am wrong.
I am letting my views be known to my Congress Critters, the WH and local rag, as well as demostrating!

6. More opinion based on media spin.
There are thousands of activist out countering the RW spin. Who do you think is pressuring party leaders. Go read the firsthand accounts on Daily Kos, FDL and Open Left instead of pushing the media line. Also, DFA, the labor groups and numerous other organizations are out in full force.

If they want me to fight, give me something to FIGHT for.

Centrism !....because it is so EASY!
You don't have to STAND for ANYTHING, and get to insult those who do!

9. Who the fuck are you ?
The first step in fighting FOR a "robust" Public Option is to expose HR 3200 for what it is:
a weak, designed to fail, gift to the Health Insurance Industry.

There is ONLY ONE Bill in Congress that contains a "robust" Public Option, and that is HR 676
Why aren't YOU fighting for HR 676?

I would be more than happy to fight for the Kennedy Dingell Bill (Medicare for ALL (2007).

When is it scheduled for a vote?

When is it scheduled for discussion or debate?

When is Obama going to talk about the Kennedy Dingell Bill?

11. Yes.
I should have made it easier for you....as in:
Who the fuck are YOU to question me,
or to imply I should be fighting for something I do NOT support.

I used to ridicule Republican voters for supporting policy that was in opposition to their Economic Interests. I'm not about to start doing that now just because some "Centrists" chant that Americans should be grateful for half a loaf, or must settle for LESS than the rest of the World takes for granted.

Sell your Centrist Snake Oil to someone else.
I'm not buying.

12. "Sell your Centrist Snake Oil to someone else." I'm a progressive, you are an obstructionist. A real
progressive doesn't cut off his/her nose to spite his/her face.

Conyers: No Public Option, No Passage

“If we don’t have a strong public option, the bill will never get out of the House,” Conyers said during a Monday night town hall meeting on hate crimes legislation, which Conyers sponsored.

Are you going to tell me that the author of HR676 is selling "centrist snake oil" by supporting a strong public option?

Ad I'm against torture.

Before I will consider answering your questions,
you must answer mine posted above:

13. Spare Me The Tears: Liberal Activists Aren’t Showing Up For Obama ....
snip>>

"Robert Reich seems to think left wing activists can’t organize, as evidenced by them not doing really coming out for Obama’s health care “plan” (whatever that is). Since left wing activists put together massive marches against the Iraq war, for example, it’s nonsense that they can’t do it. So why haven’t they?

Our real activists, as a group, believe in single payer. They are not going to march, or even show up at Townhalls in large numbers in order to push some wishy -washy bill that has a public option which sucks wind (and none of the bills have a good public option.)

Obama and Democrats deliberately demotivated the base by telling them that single payer was off the table, arrested them when they dared insist on talking about it, and disrespected them in every way possible.

Of course the activists aren’t showing up. Who the hell would expect them to?
If Obama or Democrats in general want activists, who by definition are hardcore people who actually believe in liberalism to show up and fight for them, they need to offer liberalism, not warmed over centrist pap..."

17. Rahm wanted us to sit down and shut up
So, many of us did. It's a bit late to start complaining now.

If this whole thing goes down in flames, I'm going to be staring very hard at the White House and listening very closely to who they're going to blame. If I even hear that "It's all progressives' fault!" it will be interpreted on my end as "Don't bother in 2010."

And I won't.
