Add another Senator for the public option: Bennet (updated)
Edited on Tue Sep-01-09 02:09 PM by ProSense
Breaking! Bennet goes ON RECORD for a PO, with Video. Yelling Louder WORKS!

Michael Bennet supports a public option

This morning we released a video outlining Michael Bennet's support for a public option. I've embedded it here. Watch it to hear Michael express his support for a public option in his own words.

During this work period, Michael has been traveling all across Colorado discussing the urgent need to reform our broken health care system. He's held town halls and discussions in Aurora, Durango, Edwards, Frisco, Grand Junction, Highlands Ranch, Ouray and Telluride. Videos of these discussions can be viewed at http://bennetforcolorado.com/Splash

Any health care reform bill should control costs, allow people to keep their own medical plan and their own doctor, increase competition, and increase coverage -- all in a fiscally responsible way. Providing patients with a public insurance option -- that increases competition and drives down prices -- would help to achieve these goals.

Pledge your support for health care reform by visiting

2. Thank Ed Schultz for that. His recent Denver town hall meeting called out Benet

for his silence on the public option. I think constituents may have been calling his office as well, since there's a strong prospect that he'll face competition for his seat.

14. Afraid of the message? You posted RW crap claiming to have accidently stumbled on it.
You posted without indicating that it was RW, with no explanation and when you got called on it you posted an article based on RW crap to support the original link.

Exactly what message is there to be afraid of?

20. He's been getting slammed by the local Dem groups...
The Broomfield Democrats wrote him an open letter saying support a robust public option or expect not only no monetary support for his reelection campaign but also full support for any candidate that challenged him in the primary.

Now to get Udall on board.
