1. Seriously. I'm not sure why they didn't go this route to start with.
I mean come on... people NEED simple, it seems. It doesn't get simpler than that.

4. I agree -- this is how the conversation SHOULD have started -- and then let the negotiations begin
if necessary....compromise might have ended up being a strong public option with bipartisan support. Seems like a Sun Tzu strategy if u ask me even if i truly did want a Medicare for All approach in the first place.

6. You don't think the media would've noticed that he went back on his campaign promise?
if like your insurance you can keep it and questioned him endlessly why he was proposing something completely different.

10. Did I really NEED to spell out in my headline that
its optional? Its something that is EASILY defined.

11. That just makes SO MUCH SENSE...
..why didn't they go that route to begin with? Open up Medicare as the public option?
Already has a system in place, young folks could buy in and increase the 'healthy" component-- an alternalive for families--could be streamlined for waste and voila! A no-brainer.

21. "They" didn't go that route because it would have been opposed by the insurance and drug industry

I must be a rocket scientist! I figured that one out!

12. Medicare for all is Single-Payer, which Obama opposes
Obama prefers to burden the already burdened with mandatory insurance premiums, which they can't afford and which will become a bonanza for the health industry.

as a declared 'uninsurable' member of our country, I look forward to having Medicare insurance. I just wish it were available to younger persons who fall into this catagory the insurance companies have put me in.
