Lol CNN lies about Obama backtracking on public option

Leading up to a segment they said that they had breaking news that President Obama was backing off on the public option and that Axelrod was going on the record.


They then cut to Henry interviewing Axelrod.


Henry: "Is the Public Option going to be sacrificed to help pass health care reform".


Axelrod: "The President remains committed that the public option is necessary to control costs and create an essential element of competition."

Henry; "Will the plan that the President outlines next week include the public option"


Axelrod: "Ed I am not going to give out the details of the speech because then the President would have no reason to give the speech (his tone was humorous).



Axelrod's comments gave absolutely no support to the "Breaking News Headline" that he was going to indicate any softening of the President's position on the public option.
