Axelrod: "I don't think that there will be any ambiguity about where he thinks we have to go..."
Edited on Thu Sep-03-09 09:40 PM by ProSense
"I don't think that there will be any ambiguity about where he thinks we have to go from here," senior adviser David Axelrod said.

Clearly, this means that Obama is going to drop the public option. Otherwise, Axelrod wouldn't have said "I don't think..."

2. Axelrod did say "think" twice
so the public option will be dropped twice.

4. He still needs to say it's the best way to cost containment. Perhaps trigger is just to get out of
Finance with Snowe. Already have Finance Cmte Dems ready to conference for it. We still have strong Public Option advocates in the Senate, and I don't think they'll be muzzled.

Media is determined to kill health care for the corporates, to help GOP, make everything more a horse race. Wish I could see a clear path to getting this done using reconciliation. Maybe Medicare dropped to 55.

5. Now's Here's an Interesting Little Paragraph

"There is little doubt that the moderate numbers of support for the president's health insurance reform plan are based in large part on a lack of awareness of the details of the plan," Benenson wrote. "

Eugene Robinson did say earlier on KO that the President has always known where he wants to go...
