11. But they keep at it. So, a school speach has replaced 'death panels.'
Until the populace gets fed up and effectively cries "stop," the GOPthugs will keep crowding the airways with their crap, replacing any reasonable discussion.

incident like the shooter at the Holocaust museum, the cop killer or Timothy McVeigh....that's when they will say it's enough. When it does happen we better push law enforcement to go after all of those that incited violence behind the cloak of free speech and the media.

16. That is what many republicans want. The party of Lincoln has become the party of John Wilkes Booth.

4. My Republican brother thinks they're shooting themselves in the foot
with the birther movement, and now this. It's very obvious, when they make so many mountains out of little things what they're about. They're not just the party of no, but the party of idiocy. Everything is black and white to them, and to their detriment.

6. You nailed it - Black vs. White
The Old White Men can't handle a smart, young, BLACK man in a position of power.

It is the civil War & civil rights movement all over again... except the old white men are losing their grip and they can't handle it, so they stir up the HATE and let their redneck flunkies do the dirty work for them...guns, hate and ignorance do not go well together.

Somehow this needs to stop, and not with the violence winning...

7. I know the media sucks
but articles like E.J. Dionne's gives me hope that that such transparent dishonesty might get more coverage. I'm going to email journalists.

9. ONce again the media fans the flames
Notice here that they're looking ONLY for parents who want to keep their kids out of school? Not looking for balance, no. Just nuts to come on and pretend they're speaking for everyone. It's just insane.

you've gone off the deep end.

Scarborough agrees . . . today. Hopefully his common sense is kicking in, but he may do a 180 by Monday.

15. I would certainly hope so!! They tend to be people who think EVERYONE agrees with them.
So, I am not sure that they get it. I'm sure most Republicans are still convinced that they lost in 2008 because they nominated a liberal. :eyes:

18. Yes they do look even more extreme, especially when the speech is made public and
we all see that there is nothing obectionable in it. They will look like even bigger fools than they appear to be now.

It will be a delight being able to remind them that they vehemently opposed a speech that encouraged students to do well. I will never miss an opportunity to toss that little gem into any conversation I have with a winger after Tuesday.

The wackos have played their over-the-top coniption card pre-emptively. On Tuesday, POTUS will present a warm, kid-friendly, inspiring, and totally non-controversial message. This...will be fun.

It cost Rick Santorum his job here in PA.

26. Yes it did...
It was a big factor in their alienation of moderates and was a large reason for their losses in 2006.

23. School is obviously a socialist plot to control our children's minds. It should be stopped!
Stop all government run schooling now!

And tear down those damned AM antennas!

And don't drink the flouride infused water either!

(what does flouride mean? I'm surprised I could even spell it!)

24. They shout down their opponents at town hall meetings.
They figuratively shout down the President's speech to school children. The right is not interested in civil discourse or debate because they do not want the other side to appear reasonable and rational.

25. True, they backlash against themselves
They just draw more attention to it. Any teenagers forbidden to hear it will look at it on you tube just because it was banned.

Right wingers are so stupid. They think they can control information. And that they want to says something about them. That they are authoritarians.
