I see a problem, so I'd like to offer a suggestion.

It seems that many of us on this board are evaluating every little bit of rhetoric coming from Washington, measuring whether it's a "winning" or "losing" comment for our side, hence reacting - with derision or support - to that rhetoric. Some are carrying the exercise farther by using these minute-by-minute evaluations as a means to judge the success or failure of the entire complex process.

I can't see how this exercise is either helpful or healthy for any of us. I think it's driving some completely crazy, to be honest.

So here's my suggestion:

1) Leave the room in which your computer is stationed.

2) Find a space - preferably outside - where you can sit.

3) Stare blankly at the objects around you for approximately 33.8 minutes.

4) As you stare, think about how great it is to be alive.

5) As you stare, consider how small you are in comparison to the great big world around you.

6) When you start to feel small, see if you even feel up to returning to the room in which your computer is stationed. If you do return, try to concentrate your posting efforts on something OTHER than health care for a while.

7) If you notice yourself evaluating every little bit of rhetoric surrounding the health care debate again, rinse and repeat.
