Lynch Moves Toward Bid for Kennedy Seat
Rep. Stephen Lynch (D-MA) pulled nomination papers for the late Sen. Ted Kennedy's seat this morning, becoming the second candidate to jump in the special election race, the Boston Herald reports.

Attorney General Martha Coakley pulled nomination papers earlier this week.

Lynch, who represents a heavily blue-collar Catholic district based in south Boston, would likely be the only anti-abortion Democratic in the race, but he has strong ties with organized labor.

4. Uh...we here in California, call it "anti-choice!!
Just as we are quite aware no one is "Pro" abortion...(At least here in Northern California) we also believe very strongly in Pro-choice - a WOMEN right to choose her options.

8. I think you have it right. If these two are the only two running, there's
no question, Martha would be the Senator elect the day after the Primary.

Unfortunately, for Coakley, this may be a 3 or 4 person race. Lynch won't win it, for sure, but Coakley might not either
