7. I lived there for 7 years -- just moved back to Seattle a few months ago.

I met racists there who didn't know they were racist. They were honestly true, good, people. Had black friends -- at work, were helpful, and I was always stunned to find out how they really felt regarding race. It was difficult to reconcile the good, smart person with the small-minded, fearful person.

What I found interesting is that they could use the 'n' word in front of their Christian friends, but would never say it in front of me! Even though that's how they have been raised and indoctrinated, deep down they must know and feel that it's wrong.

I moved to NC 2 years ago from NJ. The area I live in is called The Triangle. Most all the people I've met are liberal Dem's. Just fortunate, I guess. A lot of NY'ers and NJ people have moved here in the last few years. We're working on making it Blue. Obama won NC. :hi:

No one in their right mind thinks such a thing as the Pres speaking to students should be wrong...unless they have a secret agenda or plain racist or Fox news told them to be upset and so they must....Helping this poll is not necessary since nothing will change (people who want to hate the president will continue to do so .. but will still watch).

The president's show will go on and the next attack on the president will makes its way to Fox's desk (for repeating ad naseum) and thus will then be picked up by the rest of the MSM since Fox keeps repeating it and thence will become big news so people on DU will not stop talking about it and the democrats will cave to whatever the republicans wish it to be linked to....so what's on next cuz i've seen this episode too many times.
