he don't give us something very good... and I know many of us had such hopes for him and until now I thought he was doing pretty good...over this health bill he seems weak...I sure want to hear the speech like he gave us when he was running for president..

I'm a 50 year old, progressive, Democratic precinct captain. My friends are all laughing at the idea that someone would consider me to be a right-wing anything!!

What I am NOT is an Obama-sycophant. I promised all of my conservative friends (yes, I do have some) that when Obama was WRONG, I would be the first one to say so.

Any health care "reform" that does NOT contain a strong, universal, comprehensive, public option will be a SELL OUT to the health insurance industry.

In the campaign, candidate Obama promised to STAND UP against the big corporate interests, including the health insurance industry. If President Obama SELLS OUT on that promise, you are damned right that I am going to call him on it!

What we are fighting for now is a tiny shred of decency in the final legislation.

True national health care iwill be a long way off no matter what happens.

That said, I expect him to waffle and support the Snowe "trigger" compromise, which will be the final straw so far as I am concerned.
