Obama has raised a Private Army for his Totalitarian State-Rep Braun(R-GA)
Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) believes that President Obama is bent on turning the United States into a totalitarian state and already has all the tools he needs for the purpose.

“He has the three things that are necessary to establish an authoritarian government,” Broun told a meeting of local Georgia Republicans on Wednesday, citing the creation of a private army, a ban on gun ownership, and complete control of the press.

The threat of Democratic Party totalitarianism appears to be an issue very close to Broun’s heart. Last month, he described President Obama, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid as “a socialistic elite” and responded to a question about swine flu preparations by warning, “They’re trying to develop an environment where they can take over.”

Broun bases his claim that Obama intends to set up a private army on a speech during last year’s presidential campaign in which the then-candidate called for the establishment of “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the military.

Oh, and I heard a couple of months ago the ammunition shortage was caused by Obama buying up all the ammo for this private army.

26. Well, there was the one that allowed guns in National Parks...
But that was actually loosening the restrictions. So I'm not sure if he'd want to count that one....

See, if I had known about any such media domination or private army ready to further his agenda or whatever the hell this clown thinks Obama's scheming, I believe I might at least have known about it, if I weren't already participating in it. I mean, we were rather active in trying to help the Obama campaign throughout last year, so you'd think we'd have been on a first-to-notify list or some such thing...

35. Wouldn't you think?
I mean, what does it take to get the signet ring and the secret handshake around here? We campaigned and I'm a shreiking, bleedingheart liberal. We gave money, canvassed...geesh. Maybe it's because guns give me the heebie-jeebies. But I KNOW Obama's super secret socialist army must need soldiers who do other things. I could commandeer Republican Humvees for taking over the cities! I could help with the indoctrination of our youth! C'mon Mr. President, I wannt SERRRRRRVE!

10. Good question.
My niece and her husband just took a huge financial loss to get out of GA before their daughter reaches school age. "No way we are letting her grow up in this psycho state" was their reason.

20. Like the guy on Keith's show said last week: They're trying to get him killed
by creating an atmosphere of "kill or be killed" (death panels, seizing your weapons, secret armies, etc.)--they're trying to inspire some wacko to take a shot. They've been doing this since the campaign, and it's getting worse.

If anyone thinks this sort of deal is going away- or that pandering to them will make anything better, that's NAIVE in the worst sort of way.

People like Broun quite literally have the emotional maturity of primary school kids. Maybe middle school kids in the states.

That's how they think. That's how they're reinforced to think- and that's how they'll be until they're relegated to the back of the class, consistently.

Note to High School kid Chris Matthews: not only is your sorry show unwatchable (you holler over each other so much that sensible folks can't hear what anyone's saying) -but why on earth do you feel the need to prop some gun wearing nutter to prominence on a national stage?

What, so you can look good to your "admirers" while you "smack him down?" LOL.

Grow up.

32. Hey, I've Got A Great Idea!

Let's all just ignore this Republican official. Let's not do a single thing, not even discuss him. Let's have complete, unquestioning faith in our brilliant Democratic policy makers---and in the obvious, repeatedly-demonstrated ability of the American public to discern healthy political debate as opposed to overheated partisan rhetoric---and be confident that we're going to ultimately prevail. And let's follow this well-proven practice, over and over again, until victory just falls in our deserving laps.

Sound good to everybody? 'Nuff said.....

(Big-ass, despairing sarcasm alert.)
