Headline: Obama's green jobs czar Van Jones quits under fire
Won't even paste the LA Slime's take beneath the headline. It's become such a sorry paper- a shadow of what it was, but one ought to mention that this is what happens when you let Republicans repeatedly set the agenda.

Without one lick of accountability.

You all better realize that you're in a fight and that this is only the very beginning of what's in store.

1. They said and did so many things to mock and hurt our
leaders and followers when they were in office. If anyone was offended, they laughed like the bullies they are.

Van Jones should have ridden out the storm.

2. It's about time to quit playing defense and smack a few bullies and hold up a few outright nutters
For derision.

Not as if we don't have plenty to choose from.

4. Why quit?? The other side never quits, even when they're criminals...
Our side quits when somebody looks at them the wrong way.

13. Not completely....
While this is "Deja vu all over again," I do remember ONE Democrat who fought back--and won. They even had him impeached, yet to this day, he's still standing tall. If the Obama Administration wants to "learn from Clinton", they should spend less time on his health care reform mistakes, and far more time on how he dealt with republican thuggery. Rahm, you were there. What the hell is your problem now???

6. Cenk on TYT called it...Wins $10 -- Says this is an indicaton that Obama is Weak.
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 08:35 AM by quantass
Was watching Cenk on TYT and he has been laying out a very insightful and thoughtful roadmap that indicates the thinking of Obama and what he has planned. He even went as far as include the issue with Van Jones. He said that given Obama's action on the bailout, handling of healthcare and more he predicted that Van Jones would be fired in less than 2 weeks because it was an administration that would always cave under any pressure by the right and would never fight even it was the right thing to do and the truth...they would always capitulate. And sure enough, in less than 2 weeks it happened.

Ok this REALLY SUCKS! I was hoping that Cenk would be wrong. I'm also a bit frustrated. Van Jones was RIGHT and doesnt deserve to be fired. Some here will say he wasnt fired but "quit"..Come on lets not get cute....he was fired and publicly just made it sound like he quit. Typical move by those in power.

According to Cenk this will be indication that Obama will have a trigger option (but include a public option) that will be years before it takes affect assuming the insurance industry doesnt take action in its final months before the trigger kicks in...but never mind that since the republicans will repeal it when they get back in office or the insurance industry has time to create their NEW "doughnut hole".

7. I just told my friend yesterday that..
he would be out by Monday or Tuesday which, I disagree with.

I have been tuning into fox for the past few days and they were harping on it 24/7.

They can take anyone and anything and persuade the uninformed and fraidy cats they are telling their audience who grew up believing lies and stereotypes be afraid be very afraid of the negro they are taking over. I agree with everything Van said..

11. He only signed a petition, no evidence he was a die hard truther
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 09:30 AM by Jennicut
He was an admitted communist in the past with an arrest record for political protests, nothing wrong with that in my opinion.

However, people are freaking out an awful lot. George W. had over 40 resignations in 8 years as President (no one can top that) and Clinton had a few. Sometimes these things happen.

12. Obama is brilliant
Edited on Sun Sep-06-09 10:02 AM by msans
This is msans and i'm a long time d-u watcher, and i had to join to post this

I think President Obama is brilliant for firing Van Jones, by doing so, he makes Glen Beck the conservative that bested Obama. Rallying all conservatives around beck and away from limbaugh.

This creates a feud between Beck and Limbaugh, Limbaugh then takes Beck Down, so obama has co-opted limbaugh. Limbaugh is a conservative that only cares about money, but Glen is a total nutjob, so rush will want to take him down, Wow
Obama is smart
