If you don't think the Media is slanting the news against a single payer or even
a public option, then you are living on La La land.

And it's not because they are pushing a conservative agenda. That's the easy way to frame th picture. Because when you complain, they can state smugly that you should see the stack of letters we get from the other side...

No the reason the media is against upheavals in the Health Insurance Industry is that they will lose all those advertising dollars that the huge insurance companies spend on feel good targeted commercials.

Watch the news and take down who is advertising on the the channel.

Then you will see the amount of advertising money they have at stake in many of the contentious issues of our times.

grosss domestic product, more generous industries would probably advertize with them as more people had money to spend that wasn't swallowed up in insurance premiums. The support of the health insurance industry at the consequence of all other industires is just not very forward thinking on their part. They want to expand industry so they can get more advertising and that can only happen though health insurance savings via public option.

11. ? From government being able to negotiate prices with them?
Yes, from more people being covered, hence a bigger market, but that will be offset by gov't bargaining them down, right?

bottom line.

No surprise there. They couldn't tell the full, accurate, unadulterated, untwisted, unsensationalized TRUTH about anyone or anything if their greedy lives depended on it.
