Labor Day Must See: Banned Studs Terkel doc on Worker's Health and Safety

Made for OSHA in 1979, banned (and most copies destroyed) by Ronald Reagan in 1981.

This will break your heart and inspire you at the same time. It's a good history of the labor movement, too ... and relates to many health-care issues we're discussing today. Really, watch the whole thing (26 minutes) if you can.

Though the interview was never used, it was a memorable afternoon, and he provides a model for how I want to grow old: irascible, still writing, unapologetically leftist, smoking stogies, following baseball, listening to jazz....
