Did you know that the US Chamber Of Commerce is NOT on our side?

http://www.responsiblehealthreform.org/

http://www.responsiblehealthreform.com/voices-reason

Mind you, it says "voices of reason" but they are clearly lacking any reason when they work against the people. There is plenty of drivel and nonsense on the site, here is a snip of their trite:

"* It's fiscally reckless. A new government health care entitlement will mean new taxes and a backdoor premium that will make health care costs higher, not lower.

* It will lead us down the road to total government control of our health. A government-run health insurance plan will undermine employer-sponsored coverage and is the first step toward a government takeover of health care similar to Europe and Canada, with fewer covered procedures, long wait times for consultations and surgery, and more government bureaucracy.

* It will just make those with private insurance pay even more. The government-run plan will pay less money to doctors and hospitals, and they will make up the losses by shifting costs to patients with private insurance. This means people with employer-sponsored coverage will be forced to pay more money for their health care."

One would think that having a public option health care system, which would SAVE small businesses as well as corporations millions, that the COC would be FOR a public option. It boggles the mind. They continue the bullshit lines about universal health care as well, flat out lying.

20. Absolutely right. They actually get small businesses to vote against their own best interests
in order to support the large corporations.

10. They're filthy monsters that I've often thought of as people who need to be spit on
They've run some of the single most vile ads I've ever seen here in NH. Fortunately they all backfired, but it still sickened me.

12. So the Chamber of Commerce has to lie to try
and convince people to see it their way.

Don't small businesses belong to that org in towns across America? Won't they benefit from a Public Option as well as millions of Americans?
