Why I hate the news. ABC closed with a line about The Pres's 'low marks'
in trying to promote bipartisanship.

HE HAS BEEN TRYING. The OTHER SIDE is the problem. NOT THE PRESIDENT.

Sorry for venting. I turned the TV on and the news was on and I just about hit the ceiling. F'ing GD media sucks.

2. It's not news. It's petty showmen spinning things for emotional effect; to gain ratings.

3. Agree! I've not watched any commentary today. I listened to the
presidents speech and turned it off. The media is lower than ever.

4. This is exactly why I stopped watching corporate
mediawhoredom in Nov 2002 after I saw how they manipulated the midterm elections.

Who was it that said that about bi-partisan low marks with the fooking repukes?

7. Thanks for the list
Bookmarking for emailing tomorrow.

I dropped out of radio too, except for public radio. I got a cash for my clunker and the car we ended up with has a six-month free trial of Sirius radio. I'm hooked and will NEVER listen to AM or FM radio again except for our local Pacifica station and our local public college station (can't live without Amy Goodman). So I won't know about all the wonderful products and services all the sponsors are trying to sell me.

What a shame that to get the music, you have to pay.

5. I don't watch the MSM. I get my news online.
The only time I bother watching these days is when they're actually covering the President.

8. You have to be sure to hurry and turn it off...
or risk seeing little Chuckie Todd explain what was wrong with what the President was saying and about how he's slipping in the polls.

12. People in the states are going to get all this and much worse unless and until
the administration (or God forbid- Congress) decides to re-regulate the corporate media and divest the conglomerates.

A lot like health insurance abuses- they'll keep on getting ever more obscene and outrageous. After all, why shouldn't they/

14. It must be in the talking points memo of the day
On MSM Lynn (don't know her last name) said he campaigned on bringing the country together and said the WH has not succeeded in working with 'pukes.

Unfucking believable, after admitting that rw nutjobs were complaining about something ridiculous it became the problem of the WH.
