Freepers struggle to find reason to be outraged by President's school speech....

...but they're trying hard.

Reading through it, it doesn’t read correctly in the first third or so of the speech - I’m betting that’s where it was scrubbed. Something is missing in there... a LOT of something.

All cleaned up and shiny bright! We probably won’t ever know what was in the original version, but you can bet your bippy it wasn’t this fairy tale.

Talk about being raised in Indonesia, missing his father throughout his life, being raised by a single parent, help in solving homelessness and AIDS. He surely is not promoting conservative values here.

LEAVE THE KIDS ALONE - They have no stake in whatever you have to say...it is you with the agenda to take over their young minds - a la hitler - and recruit for your "youth squads" in your quest for communism/socialism.

Obviously he was trying to work in a health care pitch, but it got half-scrubbed out.

Yeah, I agree, it’s simple and inspirational enough. Good. However, kids will tune it out, blah blah blah, another adult blathering on about staying in school and doing my best, yadayada. I think we scared Zero out of what he really wanted to say. Now all we have to do is keep an eye on the teachers and their plans for our kids. Some will still go through with his initial intents.

I guarantee it bears absolutely no resemblance to what was prepared three days ago.

What guarantee is there that the original speech isn’t the one he’ll actually say tomorrow after sending out this front = dampened down speech?

Really think about that comment..making our nation more free. Is there any other document on this earth that provides people from everywhere more freedom than Our Constitution?! It’s clear the constitutional scholar intends to further amend it so that is beyond recognition.

It’s like something out of North Korea ... or Turkmenistan(?) - (wherever it is that their dictator has the huge green book open and show a movie about himself)

The whole point of the speech was the teachers having the kids do the activities afterwards which made them *accountable* for helping 0bama. That's where the indoctrination comes in. The 0bamabot teachers will still do it and at least some decent school districts have made it voluntary or absent entirely.

I think this is the first of many speeches he plans to give to school children. He’ll slip in the socialist viewpoint in later speeches, when the press isn’t watching.

There is nothing particularly wrong with this speech...not now there isn't. Now that The White House was forced to change the speech from a propaganda speech created to manipulate parents through their students there is no problem at all with the text of the speech. We all know though that this was not the speech Obama was originally going to give. The liberals will act like it was but that cat was already out of the bag.

That's just a lame attempt to throw off conservatives. This clown panders to allah, not the God of Israel and he's demonstrated that multiple times. Next he'll mention “traditional values” or some sort of other buzzword in a disingenuous manner. One need only look beneath the thin veneer.

You zero’d in on the exact same spot as me, I actually found most of the text to be acceptable except for this:

Take that part out, and have someone besides the snake oil salesman n chief deliver it and it would be ok.

Why do you agree with that paragraph? .... Do you believe that our nation is unfair and the people in need of more freedom? How does that square with what he is doing now expanding the powers of government and making us less free? This is Marxist code language that has been used for decades to justify more government control. And it paints an America in need of social justice and redistribution of wealth to make us more "fair," i.e., economic justice. I guess you must be a liberal.

Most of identity hatred in this nation today is from minorities directed towards the majority....in everything...race, religion, sexual preference...you name it. This is standard lefty fodder which projects from their own weak psyches, America bad, I’m good because I want to fix it but I can’t fix myself. Homelessness....how many folks are areally homeless and not just bums, dopeheads and mentally ill that roam the streets. This ain’t Grapes of Wrath just yet
