What the buffoons, idiots and clowns at FAUX news choose not to get is that when George HW Bush addressed the schools in 1991, no school districts withheld his speech or gave permission slips allowing kids to opt out and stay home and there weren't parents whining like spoilt babies about their kids were being indoctrinated by the President. So FAUX news just looks as stupid as ever trying to promote this line

1. The goal has never been logic
the goal was to teach the children to disrespect a president they are enthusiastic about. It was a hammer that racist parents could use on their children to put a stop to their children's support of Obama.
Sick stuff.
