Obama's school speech - a child's view

US President Barack Obama has delivered a speech to American schoolchildren, broadcast live to classrooms across the country.

The BBC News website asked one audience member - 11-year-old Claire O'Donnell - to write about the speech.

I think thousands of children share her feelings and hopes...

credit. I had tears in my eyes by the time I got to, 'America believes in us and I'm not letting her down.'

kids for our future.

There are so many ways to get sidetracked in this era..it certainly can't hurt to be inspired by someone so inspiring.. to work hard on ones education for what they want to be in life.

6. I assumed she was in the US. They mentioned she was an audience member.

I suppose there'd be an audience in the UK for his speech, but I assumed the reporter was here covering it.
