Biden: Health care bill may be in by Thanksgiving
AP

WASHINGTON – Vice President Joe Biden asserted Thursday that a health care bill will be done by Thanksgiving because President Barack Obama has "re-centered debate" and there's an emerging bipartisan consensus for change despite fights over details like the government-run option.

12. If we do not get some kind of health care reform now.. my middle class life
is already over.

I have a brother one illness away from bankruptcy, because he has no insurance.

14. Reform will only help the very poor at the expense of the middle class - the rich are
continuing to call the shots from K Street.

15. Your All Mouth and No Proof
Present some proof and quit spewing shit out your mouth

According to H.R. 3200, employers must provide health benefits plans deemed "qualified" by the federal government

Comply with a medical loss ratio - the portion of health plan revenue that does not cover administrative or marketing expenses, taxes and profits.
http://newsletters.agc.org/hr_labor/2009/08/31/is-your-companys-health-plan-qualified/

So basically Health Insurance Companies will have to justify their operating cost in order to be a qualifying plan. Currently they have to be subpoenaed just to find out the profit margin and admin cost

11. It don't mean squat to be COVERED when you can't afford the high premiums.
Congratulations, the operation was a success but the patient died.

8. I agree. As bad as it is now, I really don't see anything that was said
last night that indicates it would be anything OTHER than yet another hand-out to one fothe major PTB. The banks got it. The auto execs got it. Pharma got it. Now health insurance will get it.

The people? Oh, the people don't matter. Not the poor ones anyway.

4. Sherrod Brown told Keith last night there would be a bill for Obama by end of year.
Not sure if Brown was predicting it would be passed and ready for signature by the end of the year ...
