1. The supporters of this bogus "reform" want you to believe it means paying for your medical care.
In reality, it means being allowed/forced to buy a policy from an insurance corp.

Everyone will be covered, but that "coverage" will leave most much poorer than the current system. We will have as many (or more, since you cannot go without that policy) denials of payment as we do now.

And the Dems, including the Prez, have killed any real chance for significant reform for the foreseeable future.

2. So you interpret "provide coverage" to mean "take your premiums".
And it will be illegal for any insurance company to not take your premiums. It won't be illegal, however, for them to not pay your claims.

That's what I'm thinking this means, too.

3. Presumably both
Why the negative view before the details are even complete? Why not trust Obama to do what he said he would - at least until he doesn't. Not every politician you trust will let you down.

7. I seriously doubt it - and have no idea what age has to do with it

I've seen very thoughtful posts from people I know to be just out of school. There is nothing wrong with being young. In many ways, it is more likely that they are less rigid in their opinions and open to new possible solutions.

I am 59 years old.

8. I think several words and phrases remain intentionally undefined
affordable
provide
available
exchange
access
against the law
security and stability
slow the growth
limit
quality
competitive prices

Indeed, it is hard to tell what most of his policy proposals actually mean, since their meanings are so tied up in ambiguous language.

9. Does anyone know where in the bills it discusses that?
I'm worried about that too. What limits will be placed on insurance companies' ability to delay and deny claims?

11. the words "claims" and "deny"
do not appear in the speech.

The topic of reducing claims denials by insurance companies is not covered in the speech.
