A baby pony...
... dies every time someone criticizes President Obama on DU.

Please consider that before advocating for more-progressive policies. Thank you.

7. You might want to check your facts
Ponies are small horses.

Baby horses are foals, colts, etc.

12. I'm just summarizing the content of many DU threads...
... full of handwringing about the unbearable sound of Obama criticism from the left.

4. Back at you
Your obsession with characterizing all dissatisfaction with Obama as being founded in upset about the primaries is kinda weird.

As with all history, there might be valuable lessons to be learned by examining the primaries. But, IIRC, Obama won the primary and the election, and he's president now.

I'm not much impressed by how he's doing. That's treason or madness in your book, it seems.

6. Not being "much impressed by how he's doing" isn't "treason" or "madness," but

this certainly doesn't qualify as a sane criticism: "A baby pony dies every time someone criticizes President Obama on DU."

8. It's well-earned snark
One can't visit DU without encountering multiple posts that rail against Obama critics.

Go, look at the current posts in the Presidential forum, and tell me that's not the case.

The second an Obama-critical post -- regardless of the aptness of its content -- is posted, the unrecommenders come out in force. I'm glad to see a few "public option" skeptics are standing up here to push Obama from the left, but the defensiveness and STFU are quite stultifying here, in general.

5. I think

the White House wanted an outcry of protest about health care reform, to show the country that public opinion favors more progressive policies on health care. The best way to shape the argument is to let the public speak out loudly and clearly, then he can say "This is what the American people want."
