10. Of course.
For two reasons.

First, there's the suspicion that he was an affirmative-action admit, at least to Harvard--that his Columbia grades sucked. Might be, might not be, hard to say with absolutely no information.

Second, there's the suspicion that his curriculum won't be ideologically neutral, that it'll be a clue into his political thinking at the time, just as Michelle's undergrad thesis was a window into her world. Might be, might not be. . . . I think his teaching load is more likely to show where his interests lie than his UG course work.

There's a third, but it presupposes less common motivations. There was debunked e-mail claiming that Obama was admitted to Occidental as a foreign student. Then again, given who's doing the asking, that might be the primary motivation.

One could argue a fourth motivation exists. Remember the dustup over Bush II's and Kerry's grades? *'s grades were reported and everybody made fun of him beause, well, Kerry was so much better as a student. After all, liberals/democrats are smarter than conservatives/repubs, so we don't even need Kerry's grades. Then Kerry's grades were released, and that put an end to that claim. As one headline put in, Kerry didn't do much better than Bush (which is to say, * averaged 77, Kerry averaged 76, so "didn't do much better" must mean "did slightly worse"). Of course, there were pointless attempts to spin the distribution or interpretation of grades, as though 30-year-old grades mattered. Now, Obama has been billed as brilliant. If he were a mediocre undergrad student, would he be any less brilliant?

14. how has this woman not been disbarred or lost her license yet?
From what I've read today about her latest court appearance and other apperances and filings she's made she has shown time and again that she is unfit to practice law ANYWHERE. Why is she still allowed to practice?

Accuse and demand and when demands aren't met say that proves the accusations are true. If somebody suckers in and gives into the demands a whole witch hunt begins and never stops, at least not until people quit watching it on cable.

They did this stuff to Bill Clinton over and over. "What do you have to hide?" "If you're innocent, why not just cooperate?" "Don't the people have a right to know? If the birthers get a single document they'll be their own heroes and only get worse.

Obama is doing the right thing by ignoring them.

22. Not just his privacy but the privacy of other people
There's the privacy of anyone who issued and verified and otherwise handled his records. Why should they be hassled by the likes of Oily Taint and her criminally insane types?

Secondly, there's the matter of identity theft. Why should he even begin to trust the birthers as far has his personal information and the personal information of those who he has worked and lived with over the years?

25. What do we really know about this woman who obviously was
not born in America? In most cases it wouldn't matter but in this case it does. She is exploiting the judicial system with bogus cases, she should have lost her license a long time ago.

She is making a mockery out the judicial system and of the actually good lawyers out there.
