George W. Bush’s former speechwriter, Matt Latimer, took some good notes when he was in the White House. His new book, Speech-Less: Tales of a White House Survivor has these bon mots:


On Barack Obama: “This is a dangerous world and this cat isn’t remotely qualified to handle it. This guy has no clue, I promise you.”

On Joe Biden: “If bull was currency, Joe Biden would be a billionaire.”

On Sarah Palin: “I’m trying to remember if I’ve met her before. What is she, the governor of Guam?”

On Hillary Clinton: “Wait till her fat keister is sitting at this desk.”

Yep, there were quite a few appreciative comments about it during the campaign. I even gave someone once a pic of her backside that I took by mistake. She had turned too fast and I got her posterior. One of the volunteers begged me to give him that pic. BTW, he was only 25. LOL!!

Talking Points Memo has a link to the GQ article. It is sad to read how Bush didn't understand his own bail-out policy. Can you imagine Obama giving a speech and not understanding the dynamics behind it? Don't read this book, folks, it will just bring back the depressed feeling you had from 2001-2008.
