Want to see how desperate Republicans have become now that the House has reprimanded Wilson:
New GOP Meme On Joe Wilson: Obama Started It!

After the vote was taken, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) declared on the House floor that Obama had insulted Congress, by saying that his opponents were lying about his health care proposals. "He comes in here talking about a lie ... He says we're making wild claims," said Gohmert. "That's no way to act when you're invited into somebody else's house."

It's interesting to see Gohmert take such a sudden interest in the gentlemanly etiquette of the House, considering how he too was heckling Obama during the speech -- albeit through the silent display of a sign, rather than shouting out:

<...>

2. Desperate and immature and an embarrassment to those
they represent. Whiners and do-nothings. Maybe most of them will lose their seats in 2010.

3. Well, Gomer sure fits him to a T.
And he and Mrs. Gomer attend Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, where Louie has served as a deacon and still teaches Sunday school.

What other old sitcoms come to mind?

4. Louie, Louie, Louie Lie
ya got it all wrong; it's our House, not your house. Literally OUR house as Dems and of course, our house as citizens. You are simply a hired hand that should be working for us, your house master, and not the healthcare industry.

5. I loved this comment on the Wilson story on TPM from a Canadian:
"I live in Quebec and the current GOP is strangely familiar. Although the ideology is far-right, instead of far-left, otherwise the GOP is behaving like a separatist party. They openly admit they care only about their supporters, and their issues, the greater good doesn't matter and the parts of the country that don't vote GOP are actively treated as the enemy. Frankly the Bloq Quebecois, despite being committed to breaking up Canada, serves as a much more constructive and loyal opposition than the Republican currently do. Maybe that's why separatism gets more traction in Dallas than Montreal these days."

6. OK Louie, let's go over this one more time.
1) A "speech": that's where the other guy speaks and you listen.
2) A "debate": that's where the other guy speaks then you answer him.
3) A "shouting match": that's where everyone shouts and no one gets to hear anything.

Got that? Can you tell the difference now?
