8. So true and glad everyone is pointiing it out |
|
except the White House of course who is staying out of the fray as well they should.
Obama didn't want race to enter into it during the primary or general campaign and nothing's changed on that issue.

Cosby may have dropped out of college, but so have many other famous people. And unlike half of them, Cosby seems sincere.

27. Actually you're both right. |
|
Cosby first dropped out of 10th grade and got a job to help support his family. He then joined the Navy and got his high school equivalency qualification.
Later, Cosby won a scholarship to a college in Philadelphia, but again dropped out, this time to pursue his career in comedy.
He returned to college in the 1970s, finally achieving an Ed.D (Doctor of Education) degree.

the well-healed folks's who attend NAACP dinners who felt exempt from cosby's racist diatribe...or the people he was talking ABOUT? the people he was talking probably can't afford to attend NAACP dinners. i will give him credit for putting his money, time, and effort where he put his big mouth when he actually started talking to the people he was talking about at NAACP dinners.

This is the same man who recently told a group of kids at an inner city school to basically "shut up and get over" not having funding to continue their music and arts programs.

it is important that Cosby and Obama share a certain unwillingness to watch silently as black communities put on the victim hat. I'm not saying they haven't been victimized...but it's better for a person or group to forge ahead and let OTHERS point out how they've been victimized than for that person or group to use it as an excuse.
So.....I'm happy Cosby has taken absent black fathers to task and tried to convince black youth that not everything is an entitlement--and now he uses that credibility to say "YES, indeed...there is much racism bubbling to the surface and it is a major component of the irrational opposition by disgruntled stupid white people with guns."
