Norah O'Donnell-"Obama making his case for the public option at this public university."
Edited on Thu Sep-17-09 02:17 PM by jenmito
Finally SOMEONE noticed that Obama IS making the case for the public option! Then Norah showed Pelosi saying SHE'S in favor of the PO, too. But then Chuck Todd came on to report that Lieberman, Ben Nelson, McCaksill, and Snowe just put out a statement "commending" the Baucus bill. :eyes:

But then a reporter came on and said not to "make too much" of the senators praising the bill since Snowe always said good things about it, but hasn't signed on to it, and the other senators aren't in her committee.

1. Of course the Corporatist Dems love it. It's a virtual giveaway to the insurance companies!
As for 'red state' Claire McCaskill, she's always trying to find the center and perhaps hoping to move the ball forward.

The subsidies in the Baucus bill must be increased and some help given to those who fall between 300-400% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL)--the middle class!

2. Yeah...
that's disappointing but not surprising. Hopefully, though, there will be enough senators who want a public option to ignore these 4.

3. Claire must have more than a few
constituents in Missouri who want a Public Option? Ones who don't mainline limpbaugh?

4. I watched it and..
he said it. He has always been sayin it but this time more clearly for the many who claim he hasn't been saying it.

5. He's said it at every rally. This is the first time I heard someone on MSNBC even MENTION that he
talked about it. David Shuster mistakenly said Obama did NOT mention the public option when he spoke at the AFL-CIO rally even though he DID.

7. He talked about it at the townhalls.
then every talking head wolf blitzer, rick sanchez, chris matthews, and fox kept beating the drum as they follow behind the wingnuts saying,he has to tell us what is in HIS plan.

I noticed that the rightwing kept repeating that he needs to claim the plan and they heard him say MY plan the other night in his speech as though it would change things or they would be using it as a talking point. I guess that they are happy now today he said MY plan.

6. McCaksil is just so predictably right wing

8. Shes just phony. Most of the time she waits to be the last person to vote on bills
so she can see what side she should vote on. You can watch her most of the time counting the votes with her little pencil. Sad
