The Drudge Report Goes After First Lady Michelle Obama's Outfit, Targets Her "Bondage Belt," Misses

They are after First Lady Michelle Obama again over her clothes. This time, The Drudge Report is targeting her "bondage belt," as they called it. Okay, not to knock her, but that is hideous. Michelle Obama has had some major fashion hits and a few misses. I would say that this is minor in the grand scheme of things. Considering how frumpy Barbara Bush and Hillary Clinton were, I think it's safe to cut her some slack.

Lost in this hoopla over her belt is the fact that Mrs. Obama spoke on health care legislation at the White House complex September 18, 2009, in Washington, D.C. She amplified the President's message on the need for health insurance reform and its impact on women and families during the event.

2. My guess is that she's wearing a bullet-proof vest under her clothes.
It kills me to even think that, but I do.

13. Fashion is not intended to serve a particular purpose.

Belts are often worn to emphasize the waist, or just because the wearer likes belts. Frankly, what purpose do necklackes or braclets serve? They accessorize, as do belts. Sometimes they're good and sometimes, not so much.

Fashion is very subjective. What is to one person "AMAZING!" is to another person "HIDEOUS."

This is not my favorite outfit, but I don't HATE it either.

Love it or hate it, Drudge doesn't know shit about anything, particularly fashion.

3. I think Matt Drudge knows a thing or two about "bondage"
... and a thing or two about sucking c@ck, but who am I to bring the peccadilloes of a notoriously closeted man, with a deep seated self-hate?

8. I am 100% for Michelle Obama and everything she does but I never
pegged her as a Jackie Kennedy. Let her wear what she wants to wear and leave her out of the fashion news.

14. The pictures I saw earlier on Huffington Post -- which I can't find now --
made it look much better and it definitely did not look like two belts -- as it does here. Weird.

This belt is worse, IMO.

16. "Bondage" belt says a lot more about Drudge than the First Lady
These detractors should be careful how far they reach for their insults.

22. It's a fugly belt. Actually, I don't like the whole ensemble.
It completely distorts/covers her beautiful shape, and I can't make sense out of the textures she's using. However, I think she has more hits than misses, and I love how affordable many of her clothes are, and how she wears local designers. And she does it all on an affordable budget.

I just love Michelle period.

How about leaving them all to wear whatever they please.
