Poll question: Would the union be worth fighting for to keep together again?
Edited on Fri Sep-18-09 09:02 PM by DuaneBidoux
We are not seeing two political parties. Let's be blunt: we are seeing two different cultures. They've been around since the beginning, but for whatever reason we are seeing it strongly again. I don't say north or south, but one is definitely modern and progressive, and one is xenophobic and fearful.

Should the "Union" be willing to stop the exit of a group of conservative radicals?

Obviously this could be a controversial poll--read Strauss and Howe, something huge is indeed happening.

1. The problem is they are spread out in all the states, where do you put them?
I guess they could secede...to a little uninhabited island somewhere. But they should be made to leave the U.S.

You could fit a lot of Connecticuts in Texas.
But really, wouldn't it be nice to have Texas for liberals only? If they want no more govt. bothering them, they should leave.

4. Gov't leaving me alone? Supreme Court got gov't out of anal sex. Sex toys are still illegal.
Government is always in our life. That's called civilization. Where we want it in our life is the biggest differences between progressive and conservative.

6. We get why we need to have govt. in our lives but the RW idiots don't have a clue
Perhaps if we dropped them off in Somalia they could get an idea of a lawless society.
