NC-Sen: Burr Leads by 10 or More
Rasmussen (9/15, likely voters):

Elaine Marshall (D): 38
Richard Burr (R-inc): 48
Undecided: 11

Kenneth Lewis (D): 32
Richard Burr (R-inc): 48
Undecided: 14

Bob Etheridge (D): 34
Richard Burr (R-inc): 48
Undecided: 15
(MoE: ±4.5%)

Here's another variation on the same theme we've been seeing out of North Carolina: Burr is still under 50, and his potential Democratic competitors are all starting in a similar position. PPP recently had Burr in the low 40s, and leading by similar margins. The major distinction is that PPP found that Etheridge started in the strongest position (41-34), compared to Marshall shining the brightest from the Dem field according to Rasmussen.

3. We probably won't win this seat unless there's a Dem tide
If things just break even or if there's a Republican trend, I suspect this seat will stay in Republican hands.

4. I think we have a really good shot at this seat.
Any repub under 50% in the south is weak.

5. Did a few stronger dem drop out of the race a while ago?
Seriously, I recall months ago at least 2 democrats were polling within 5 points of Burr, but now all the NC polls I see have Burr up comfortably. Did someone besides Cooper drop out of the race who was considered a strong candidate for us?

Still, I wouldn't say this seat is entirely out of our reach, it's known as a cursed senate seat for a reason.
