It's time you decided, once and for all, if you are really journalists. I mean, come on, people, for what ever reason, still think you have some credibility.
But how long can you keep it up if all you are doing is reacting to the Conservative and, if there is such a thing, the Liberal Noise Machines.
Those of us with half a brain can see how addled you are chasing after stories planted on Drudge and World Net News, repeated by Glen Beck and his ilk and then "legitimized" by Fox simply because they command a small but sizable and chunk of boorish loyalist.
How is it that getting "news" on the air with the crappola from the internet before you get "scooped" when in reality the only scooping is gathering the shit out of the litter box of Murdock et al is more important that getting the story right.
The thing is a lot of people, me included, stood up and cheered when CNN's Rich Sanchez finally took Fox to task for blatantly lying about how the other "news" organizations were covering their foxapalooser extravaganza.
But then I started to think. It's what people living in a free society should do with created regularity. Why did Rick Sanchez blow a gasket over the crapola coming from Murdoch's henchmen? At least he proved them wrong by actually going into the cutting room to gather clips to prove them wrong (we use to call that Journalism). But his actions are playing right into the hands of the news yard bullies.
Come on guys, start doing what you should be doing. In case you forgot, it's Journalism.
Ignore the noise machine. That's what they fear the most.
You are doing yourselves and the rest of us a disservice.
Act like Journalists instead of school yard wanna bee's.

1. Do you think they still really know just what Journalism is? |
|
I kind of doubt it, unfortunately...
I suspect that their driving motivation is the almighty dollar.

3. Not if NBC just hired Jenna Bush to be a "reporter" on the TODAY show. |
|
She's as qualified as my niece who ALSO graduated from college the year she did, and, instead of getting a PART TIME job teaching, is now a FULL TIME teacher.
Both are equally unqualified to be reporters on the TODAY show.

6. I appreciate your desire here, but you are asking the devil to be nice. |

The networks don't have journalist for a reason. They are strong members of the CorpAmerica coalition. They have a vested interested in the success of other CorpAmerica coalition members. It is a conspiracy, don't discount it. The owners of all the major media outlets share board members with other of the coalition. We need to totally boycott all but MSNBC and the Comedy Channel.

13. The CEO trees, rather than the low level journalists' trees. |

And before they take all the heat, it all comes back to our campaign financing that we the people do not pay. ..but, I digress.
