Mad As Hell Doctors Tour in D.C.

I went to Bloomington Indiana today to see the Mad As Hell Doctors Tour, who are on their way to D.C. http://www.madashelldoctors.com/

There are 4 of them, which their campaign is for single-payer, something I am completely for. During their speech, one stated that they have received a call from D.C., a call that came with a request for them to REMOVE the single payer from their web site because D.C. has been flooded with calls for single payer.

Of course, the Docs said no we will not remove it from our sight; they also have been requesting a meeting with the White House regarding single payer.

They hope to have this meeting and hand them all the signatures they have gathered in support for single payer.

I was also interviewed by Manchester University students, which they will be posting to YouTube and when they do they will email me and I can share it with others. What caught their attention what my partners Eugene Deb T-Shirt, they really liked it.

What they said here was that the call came from "the White House." They were asked to remove the link on their webpage where people can ask the President to meet with the MAHDs, too. They said they told the White House they'd remove it as soon as the President agrees to meet with them.

Thanks for your concern. Mike will try to answer you Sunday. Adam Klugman, creative director for this caravan, was the one who spoke with an aide from the White House about this. I don’t believe the doctors were asked to remove single payer advocacy, just the request for people to call the White House to ask for an audience."
